I got the LEGO Star Wars TIE Bomber for my son’s 9th birthday and let me tell you, it was a hit! He is a huge Star Wars fan and this set did not disappoint. The Gonk Droid figure was a nice added touch and he loved playing out scenes from The Empire Strikes Back with the Darth Vader minifigure. He even made up his own little story lines with the Vice Admiral Sloane minifigure.
As for the actual building process, it was a fun challenge for my son and I to do together. The TIE Bomber has an opening cockpit which is perfect for role play and the warhead bay with torpedo-dropping function is just too cool! My son loved launching the torpedoes at his other LEGO sets. Plus, the cart to transport the torpedoes was a great addition to complete the whole scene.
